The built-in or remote sensing tube is mounted in a 2" NPT bung in the waste oil tank. Oil rising on the tube compresses the trapped air inside. The air causes a diaphragm to rise in the valve head. At approximately 4" of oil on the tube, a red prewarning indicator becomes visible. At approximately 16", the air supply to the pump is shut off and the air whistle alarm sounds. This unit resets automatically when oil level drops.
