SIMPLE OPERATION
Designed with the field technician in mind, the Scorpion's functions are easily commanded through clearly displayed menu selections. Intuitive menu structure minimizes user training time and effort. All functions are quickly accessed in less than three key strokes. Help mode provides immediate operational assistance.

BULLETPROOF CONSTRUCTION
High-strength corrosion resistant materials and uncompromising quality construction make the Scorpion resistant to nearly all field conditions. The Scorpion's machined aircraft quality aluminum case and component parts are unmatched in strength, durability and protection from the most demanding environments. All component parts (handle, battery pack, lamp cover, etc.) are machined from solid aluminum, stainless steel, and high-strength composite materials. Frail injection molded plastic parts are not used.

ADVANCED DATALOGGING
The Scorpion will automatically store an acquired concentration reading to its internal memory up to 30,000 sample values.
Automatic data logging per any schedule or interval. Weeks of automatic data logging on a single battery charge. Stored data is easily downloaded to a host computer through communication port. PC based communication software provides a simple user friendly interface to analyze and export logged data.

HUMIDITY PROOF and LIQUID TOLERANT MONITORING
The Scorpion's conditioning and monitoring of the incoming gas sample quality ensures reliable operation of the Photo-Ionization Detector. Sample dryer module removes moisture from the incoming gas sample eliminating humidity effects and permitting continuous operation of 11.7eV lamps and detection of low level VOCs in air samples that ontain High Humidity and condensing water-vapor. A replaceable inlet filter removes particulates. A simple procedure redirects air out the inlet to dry out the small amount of aspirated liquid. A humidity sensor monitors the sample dryer performance and PID sample humidity levels.
